TOURS RUN MARCH-OCTOBER

Look beyond central London to experience two of its most magnificent outlying attractions: the historic suburb of Greenwich, where all clocks worldwide are synchronised to, and Hampton Court Palace, the most fabulous royal palace in Britain which was home to one of its most powerful kings, Henry VIII.

Greenwich was the home of The Royal Naval College where the most famous and most skilled British naval commanders received their military education. Here, too, was the Royal Observatory where the royal astronomer would make calculations to be supplied to the sailors to keep their ships safe in the open seas. This was the hub of British maritime power, both military and mercantile, during the days of Empire.

Hampton Court Palace was built in the early 16th century and over the next few centuries was extended and improved along with the planting of wonderful gardens. This is Britain's Versailles!
