Stonehenge & Avebury
Student / Child:
 Guided day tour from Cambridge
 'Ancient Britain'
Visit two awe-inspiring prehistoric monuments of pagan Britain.
Avebury dwarves Stonehenge. It is home to the world's largest stone circle which forms part of a huge complex of prehistoric monuments, some older than Stonehenge itself. It seems that Avebury was the spiritual centre of the world for the people who were later to build Stonehenge.

Stonehenge is one of the most famous monuments of the ancient world. Constructed 4000-5000 years ago it is a fabulous place of mystery and myth. The stone circle is located at the centre of a landscape filled with prehistoric ceremonial structures. Come and discover why it was built.

Watch the sunrise inside the stone circle at Stonehenge on Midwinter's Day! Click here for details.
